Bowling clubs share in State Government grant funding

A group of bowling clubs from across South Australia have been announced as recipients of grant funding from the State Government.

Five bowling clubs, along with 77 other sporting clubs from across South Australia, have received grants totaling $20m from the State Government.

The Uraidla Bowling Club gained the most funding out of the five bowling clubs, successfully applying for $50,000 to extend and refurbish their existing clubrooms, including roof replacement.

The Moorook Bowling Club will receive $20,800 to install a synthetic bowling green, irrigation system and electric pump, while the Port Elliot Bowling Club will get $15,700 to install eight LED floodlights.

The Somerton Bowling Club was successful in gaining $26,100 to install an irrigation system, while the Hahndorf Bowling Club will get $8,500 to install a veranda including LED outdoor lighting.
