Bowls SA curriculum-based programs for all schools across the state that want to learn the game of Lawn Bowls.

School Holiday Clinics

School Holiday Clinics are open to young people in SA.

To meet eligibility requirements all entrants must be enrolled at a South Australian Primary or High School at the commencement of the clinic to participate.

No experience required

Equipment provided 

Accredited club coaches to assisting your child to – 

Learn new skills, make new friends, and have fun while doing it. 

Please note that entries are single entries, with limited spots available, so secure your child’s place quickly before spots run out!

Introduction to Bowls

Bowls SA extends both Primary and Secondary schools the opportunity to incorporate Lawn Bowls into the school curriculum. Bowls SA seeks to connect you with your local bowling club, encouraging you to arrange as many coaching lessons as you’d like. To ensure a positive and engaging learning experience, your program can be modified to the individual requirements of your group, with clubs able aiming to provide adequate coaches, venue access, and playing equipment.

Interschool Challenge

Bowls SA supports the collaboration between schools and their local bowling clubs, as they engage in/facilitate a 4-6 week curriculum-based Bowls program. Teachers and club coaches are encouraged to identify students and select as many teams as they’d like to represent their club/school at the Interschool Challenge. The lesson objective is to provide students exposure to unique sporting concepts and learning opportunities, ensuring they are equipped with a baseline understanding of the sport before competing in the statewide competition.
