SCHOOLS PROGRAMS

Bowls SA offers adaptive programs for all junior bowlers, as well as schools and groups who want to learn the game of lawn bowls.

Bowls SA offers both Primary & Secondary schools, the opportunity to participate in School Bowls Programs around the state. Whether it be one-week or six-weeks, Bowls SA can link you with a local club who can tailor a program to suit your needs by aiming to provide a coach, a facility and the equipment for your group of students to be able to participate!

Please email reception@bowlssa.com.au to begin organising your school sessions.

If wanting some hints and tips on how to run school sessions with some program examples, please utilise the Bowls SA Schools Coaching guide.

Quick fire short games with a sudden death play-off end if scores are tied.

SA Schools and Bowling Clubs are encouraged to align together. It is recommended for schools to complete a coaching program prior to the regional competition. From this program, teachers and coaches can identify students to represent their club/school teams to advance to the regional play-off.

Bowls SA and Bowls Australia Club Support Manager (CSM) Brett Herbert will be available to assist clubs and schools to coordinate their local competitions and regional play-offs.

It is the vision that Schools Sport SA has a representative side of 10 students attend the National Finals. This competition is player funded, grant funding for competitors may be available.
