Ivy Kluske
President
Ivy started her career as a Bank Clerk with the Commercial Bank; then with husband Des they owned the Wellington Roadhouse which they operated for 28 years, working 7 days a week. While there they invested into a small hobby farm of 170 acres, which they still own and run a few beef cattle and grow their own hay. After selling the Roadhouse in 2002, they built a new home on the banks of the Murray River at Wellington.
Ivy joined the Jervois Bowling Club in 1962 and is now a Life Member of the Club having served on most committees and held the positions of President, Secretary and member of the Club Administration. She has also held the positions of President and Secretary of the Lower Murray Women's Bowling Association and been awarded Life Membership.
In 1990 she joined the South Australian Women's Bowling Association as a Councillor and went on to become the Executive Member for Division 6 until the SAWBA merged with the Royal SA Bowling Association to form Bowls SA in 2003. Since then Ivy has been a Board Director and was appointed Vice President of Bowls SA in 2007.
Ivy being elected as President represents a new direction for Bowls SA as the first female to take on this role for the organisation.
Kenn Rogers
Vice President
Born and raised at Karoonda in the Mallee and educated at Urrbrae Agricultural High School, Kenn now lives at Stansbury on the Yorke Peninsula with his wife Gweneth.
Kenn is a member of the Stansbury Bowling Club and has served as President and Committee member since joining the club. He was Club Secretary for seven years, and also Secretary of the Southern Yorke Peninsula Bowling Association for 13 years.
In 1991 Kenn joined the Stansbury Country Fire Service, where he served as Captain for four years 1995 – 1999, and is currently CFS Administration Officer.
His professional career included a variety of roles in the food industry and since retiring has been active as a Community Care Driver.
Kenn has been a member of the Royal SA Bowling Association Executive and Bowls SA Board for a total of 14 years.
Bob Thomas
Treasurer

Bob has spent all of his working life involved in finance and administration. He has held the positions of Assistant to the Chief Accountant of a large South Australian Co-operative specialising in the processing, canning, and marketing of seafood; accountant for a brick manufacturing company and in the last ten years before retirement, as Company Director / Secretary and Accountant of several companies owned by a well known family. Entities included a travel agency, vineyards, property management and further education in partnership with the Regency Institute of TAFE.
Bob is a member of the Port Adelaide Bowling Club, currently holding the positions of President and Treasurer. A Councillor for the Royal SA Bowling Association 2001 - 2003; and Bowls SA 2003 – 2005, Bob has been Bowls SA Treasurer since 2006.
Valda Bartlett
Board Director - Country

Valda has a long history of being involved as volunteer in the local community. Her bowling career began in 1958 and since then she has been a representative at State, Region and Association level; a State Selector for three years, and currently an Association and Region Selector and member of the Match & Program Committee.
Valda held the position of Assistant Councillor with the SA Women’s Bowling Association and on amalgamation with the Royal SA Bowling Association in 2003 became a Councillor for Region 7 Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island.
She is a member of the Yankalilla Bowling Club and since 2007 has been a country Bowling Director on the Bowls SA Board.
Don Crosby
Board Director - Country

Don started his career as a Bank Officer with the old Bank of New South Wales and after 12 years entered the retail business arena purchasing a delicatessen with his wife Margaret.
Having been a St. John Ambulance volunteer he then decided to join the Ambulance Service as a career Ambulance Officer. Serving 25 years firstly on the road then ten years within the State Communications Centre as a Communication Supervisor, and finally finishing his last ten years managing the State Ambulance Service preparedness for major emergencies, disasters and major events.
Upon retiring Don developed his own consultancy providing Emergency and Risk Management Planning for major events such as the Olympic Soccer at Hindmarsh Stadium, Tour Down Under, Womadelaide and many more.
Bowling has been his recreation since 1999.
As a member of the Clarendon Bowling Club he has been Administration Secretary for eight years, Club Association delegate for three years, served on the Executive of the Southern Bowling Association since 2004 and is currently Association President.
Don and his wife he has built their retirement home in Meadows and have resided there for the past four years.
Carol Boyle
Board Director - Metropolitan

A history of 40 years employment within retail at David Jones and Myer Group management teams, has given Carol numerous strengths in people skills, strategies, and problem solving.
Currently a member of the Kensington/Marryatville Bowling Club, Carol has been bowling for 14 years; she has served as a Club President, Committee member, Chair of Selectors, and is a Level One Umpire and Coach.
A member of the SAWBA Executive Committee until the unification to Bowls SA, she has served as Region Councillor / Secretary / Treasurer and is currently a metropolitan Board Director.
John McDougall
Board Director - Metropolitan

John was born and educated in Broken Hill NSW. He spent 41 years in the ANZ Bank and retired as State Manager Credit - SA & NT. His professional qualifications include a Fellowship degree which comprises disciplines in Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance.
John has worked tirelessly for the sport of lawn bowls and held positions at all levels including Club President and Secretary at Region and State level.
He has been the Executive Officer of the Royal SA Bowling Association Inc (now Bowls SA) and General Manager of Bowls SA. At a National level he is a past Director and a Past President of Bowls Australia and was also Director of World Bowls and a past President of the Asia Pacific Bowls Association.
John is a member of the Ascot Park Bowling Club and is a Life Member of Bowls SA.
