Five Decades with Arthurton Bowling Club
Happy 50th Anniversary Alan Ferguson
The Arthurton Bowling Club celebrated Alan “Spratt” Ferguson’s 50th anniversary with the club earlier this year, marking a significant milestone in the club’s 55-year history.
Throughout his five decades with the club, Alan achieved remarkable milestones, including winning 7 club singles titles, 8 club pairs titles, earning Life Membership at Arthurton, and representing the Yorke Peninsula sides, among many other accomplishments. Initially an avid cricket player, Alan’s enthusiasm for bowls quickly took over after years of only playing club events. Alan became an essential figure within the club.
Even after half a century with the club, Alan’s commitment to the club and sport is still shown through being a regular top-side member. Congratulations Alan on your 50 years at Arthurton Bowling Club.
