Multi-Nations Results
We are in the midst of a mega fortnight for International Bowls with the Multi-Nations event being played at Broadbeach this week which will be followed by the annual Trans Tasman Test between Australia and New Zealand.
South Australia has had representation on the national stage with Grange Bowling Club member Wayne Ruediger representing Australia Gold at the Multi-Nations event. The Australian selectors have taken the opportunity to play players in a variety of positions and disciplines throughout the event with Wayne mainly playing as a lead in the triples or ours disciplines for his team. At the time of writing this article, The Australian Gold team had qualified for Bronze medal matches in the Men’s Pairs, Men’s Triples and Women’s Singles events as well as a Gold Medal match in the Women’s Fours. The Australian Green team had also been successful in qualifying for the Men’s Pairs Bronze medal match, as well as Gold Medal matches for the Men’s Triples, Women’s SIngles & Womens’ Fours.
