Great Southern Bowling Association (GSBA) Open Day

The Great Southern Bowling Association (GSBA) held its opening of the 2023-2024 season at the picturesque Victor Harbor Bowling Club on Sunday 10 September 2023.
On a pleasant sunny day, 70 members from all 13 clubs attended the opening by Bowls SA President, Tim Dodds, followed by the rolling of the first Jack and Bowl by Patrons and Life Members June Halstead and Brian Paech for the season.
Following the opening, Tim joined members in a 2 bowl, 8 end Waterloo Triples. With mixture of players, many playing in positions they are unaccustomed too, fun was had by all.
The Victor Harbor Bowling Club volunteers provided a nice afternoon tea and while those present enjoyed the tasty morsels, Tim presented plaques to the 2022-2023 divisional premiership winners for Saturday Open Gender and Women’s pennants, followed by the Club Champion of Champions in Singles, Pairs, Mixed Pairs, Triples and Fours for Female and Male.
The afternoon was relaxing and enjoyed by all who attended.
