After two years and three months with Bowls SA in the role of Sports Administration, Daneeka Feo is departing the business.

Daneeka said she had mixed emotions about moving on from her position at Bowls SA.

“There have been a lot of great opportunities for me to grow as a person and an administrator here at Bowls SA,” she said.

“At the same time I am really looking forward to moving onto a new exciting challenge, with new possibilities and experiences.”

Daneeka said she has enjoyed learning all about the sport of bowls and the running of the Bowls SA office over the past few years.

“I had the opportunity to complete a full time traineeship for one year, which was the foundation I needed to kick start my Sports and Administration career,” she said.

“I was offered a part time position at Bowls SA after the traineeship to work in the administration aspect of the state body.

“Some areas that I oversaw included reception, The Bowler, relationship calls, social media, marketing of the sport, Bowls SA domain emails, event support, Bowls Fests and other administrative aspects.

“I have been blessed with an incredible line manager at Bowls SA and I can’t thank her enough for being so supportive, encouraging and most of all being a great mentor to look up to.

“The team at Bowls SA work hard for our sport and it has been great journey to get to know them all individually and work alongside them every working day.

“No two days are the same in the office, you always learn something new.”

Daneeka said she values the connections she has been able to make with members of the South Australian bowling community during her time at Bowls SA.

“I have really enjoyed building relationships with clubs, membership, stakeholders, staff, Bowls SA board, officials and everyone in between” she said.

“It has been a pleasure to work with them, hear their stories and discuss their involvement/partnership with bowls”

“I will definitely be keeping in touch with some people and will be heading along to Bowls SA events where possible in the near future.”
