Busy day for Night Owls state finals
More than 100 social bowlers from across South Australia converged on the Adelaide Bowling Club yesterday for the Night Owls State Finals.
30 teams of four players took part in the event and despite poor weather, the action on the green provided plenty of excitement and matches were played in great spirit.
Teams played four matches each during the afternoon to determine the playoff standings, before finals matches were then played to determine the final placings.
Waikerie’s Brew Crew held their nerve in a tough final to claim victory over The Boars from Torrensville Bowling Club and clinch the state title.
The third-place playoff saw Last Drinks from Modbury Bowling Club, defeat Us and Two Bens to win third place.

Bowls SA would also like to thank the Adelaide Bowling Club and its volunteers for hosting such a successful event both on and off the greens, as well as all of the players who took part and made it an enjoyable day.
