Gladstone now a level four STARCLUB
The Gladstone Bowling Club recently joined 210 other sporting clubs across the state in reaching the highest level of the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing’s STARCLUB program.
They are now a level four accredited club, with more than 2,800 organisations across the state registered for the different levels.
A STARCLUB is a well-run club where quality coaches and officials work alongside valued volunteers in a safe and welcoming environment.
Club president Tim Zander said the accreditation was a reward for the hard work of members.
“It has been a big step up for us and it will open up doors with stuff like grants,” he said.
“It has been a bit of a step, but we have done it over a couple of years and have worked bit by bit towards reaching our goal.”
