Yorke Peninsula Senior Supa Series a success

by Marketing on September 23, 2021

Bowlers from across the State converged on the Yorke Peninsula earlier this week to take part in the first event on the 2021/22 Senior Supa Series calendar.

Monday saw the event kick off at the Ardrossan Bowling Club, with 34 teams of four taking part in the action.

After a big day of bowls, the Moonta team of Phillip Johnson, Sharon Cavanagh, Claire Eichenberger and Steve Eichenberger came away victorious.

Competitors travelled down the road for Moonta for day two, with 38 teams taking part.

The Somerton combination of Russell Thomson, Ray Whichelo, Michael White and Kari Heikkonen finished the day victorious.

The third and final day saw so many entries that the competition had to be split over two venues, with players travelling to Wallaroo and Kadina.

The experienced foursome of Tony Treloar (Ascot Park), Noel Kneebone (Murray Bridge RSL), Neville Mansell (Lobethal) and Joe Conte (Lobethal) overcame a strong field to take overall victory.
