Nominees for the Official of the Year Award will be members with: Current accreditation as an Umpire, Measurer or Marker. Contributed in a voluntary capacity at: Club (and/or) Association (and/or) State level. Have a sound knowledge of all laws. The Official of the Year finalists and ultimate winner must demonstrate qualities in line with the values of Bowls SA, and may include but not limited to the following: Fulfilling their role with enthusiasm, professionalism and fairness Striving to act above and beyond their expected position or role. Showing initiative for programs to encourage participation and sense of community. Be an inspiration to athletes, coaches, other officials and the community for their work. Be encouraging, supporting and motivating to others. Has shown ability to pass knowledge onto other officials in the way of training sessions or alike.
