We’re Hiring: Program and Participation and Co-ordinator

Bowls SA is looking for a dynamic and organised Program and Participation Co-ordinator to lead exciting initiatives that drive participation, foster youth engagement, and support our elite-level High Performance Program across South Australia.
About Bowls SA
Bowls SA is the governing body for lawn bowls in South Australia, supporting 213 clubs and over 20,000 members. We are a not-for-profit organisation committed to growing participation and providing high-quality experiences in the sport, from grassroots to elite levels. Bowls is more than a game — it builds community, supports wellbeing, and brings people together across generations.
The Role
Based at our head office in Glenelg North, this 2-year contract role is a fantastic opportunity for a people-oriented professional with a passion for sport, events, and program delivery.
As the Program and Participation Co-ordinator, you will:
- Lead and deliver major participation events across the state
- Manage the High Performance Program, working with elite athletes and coaches
- Coordinate inclusive programs and support club-based activities for youth and community engagement
- Assist with marketing, sponsorship activations, livestreaming, and media promotion
- Build strong relationships with schools, clubs, athletes, and volunteers
This is a hands-on, impact-driven position where your ability to connect with people and manage projects will make a real difference to sport and community across SA.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A positive, solutions-focused attitude and professional presentation
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A genuine interest in growing sport and community participation
Essential Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Working with Children Check (prior to start)
- First Aid Certificate (within one month of starting)
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Desirable:
- Experience in sports administration or event coordination
- Knowledge of bowls or working in a not-for-profit environment
- Qualifications in Sport Management or similar
- Livestreaming and photography skills
