VIC Series Postponed
Unfortunately, the difficult decision was made today to postpone the upcoming Test Series against Victoria.
With the current threat of COVID-19 impacting the health and welfare of Australians, Bowls Victoria and Bowls SA have taken guidance from the Federal & State Government’s health authorities in making this decision.
The series was scheduled to be played in Swan Hill, Victoria, from Friday, July 30 to Sunday, August 1.
The decision has been made as a result of the recent COVID outbreak in Melbourne and current government restrictions in place across Victoria, and the restrictions imposed by the South Australian Government on anyone returning from Victoria.
Our hearts go out to all of the athletes and coaches who have been preparing diligently for this event as well as the officials and volunteers who were looking forward to putting on a great Test series.
The COVID-19 pandemic is a severe and rapidly changing concern that affects everyone worldwide. Our focus continues to be on the health and safety of everyone. We cannot stress enough that everyone should follow the guidelines from local and national health experts, to slow the spread of the virus for as long as it takes.
