Vale Trevor Sharpe

by BowlsSA2 on August 4, 2020

Bowls SA is saddened to advise the membership and greater bowling community of the passing of longtime bowling stalwart Trevor Sharpe, who passed away on the 27th of July, aged 95.

Trevor’s involvement in the sport spans back some 70 odd years (in some cases further back than RSABA and Bowls SA records have been maintained).

Trevor had a decorated career having played at least 47 state games, winning the state singles and champion of champion singles events to name a few. Trevor also had a strong passion for coaching and would be happy to give advice to many members on where they could improve their game.

In his latter years, Trevor could be seen frequently attending Metropolitan Southern Clubs such as Marion, Brighton & Somerton still giving advice to members on where they could improve that little bit.

Trevor’s funeral will be at 10:15 on the 12th of August at the Heysen Chapel, Centennial Park, however attendance may be limited due to covid-19 restrictions.

We send our condolences to the Sharpe family and all bowling members for their loss.

Vale, Trevor.
