Vale Judith Whiting OAM – A dedicated and lifelong contributor to the sport

It is with deep respect and gratitude that we acknowledge the passing of Mrs Judith Atala Whiting, a dedicated and lifelong contributor to the sport of lawn bowls and the broader South Australian community.
Judith’s service to bowls spanned decades, with enduring involvement at both club and state levels. She was a proud Life Member of Bowls SA, having served as President in 1993-1995 and previously as a valued Committee Member. Her leadership and commitment helped shape the direction of the sport during a pivotal time in its development.
At the Modbury Bowling Club, Judith was a cornerstone of the community, contributing since the 1970s. She served as President from 1989 to 1991, and her contributions were honoured with Life Membership in recognition of her enduring impact.
Her passion extended beyond the greens. Judith was a devoted Member of the South Australian Indoor Bias Bowls Association for over 45 years, showing unwavering support for the sport in all its forms.
Judith’s legacy is one of leadership, generosity, and a true love for her community. Her contributions have left an indelible mark on the sport and on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Bowls SA extends its deepest condolences to Judith’s family, friends, and the bowls community at large.
