Under 18 State Singles Champions Crowned

The Under 18 State Championships came to a close at the Lockleys Bowling Club today, with Kate Argent-Bowden winning the girls singles, and Liam Coe taking out the boys competition.

Argent-Bowden, of Angaston, won through her section undefeated, before overcoming Anda Panchawat, of Port Noarlunga, by 16 shots in their semi-final.

The other semi-final saw Hanika Booth, of Nuriootpa, defeat Ava Vass, of Curramulka, by four shots.

Argent-Bowden put together a clinical performance in the final to win by 13 shots, while Panchawat defeated Vass in the bronze medal playoff.

Coe also went through his section undefeated, before overcoming Adam Black, of Grange, by 3 shots in their semi-final.

The other semi-final saw Corey Hicks, of Adelaide, score a five-shot win over younger brother Charlie.

Coe continued his strong form this week to defeat Corey Hicks by 11 shots in the final, while Charlie Hicks overcame Black to claim the bronze.
