Thomo needs your help
Gary Thompson (Thomo) the lovable larrikin of South Australian Lawn Bowling clubs recently had a major motorbike accident that has put him into hospital and will change his life forever. His was admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital on the afternoon Tuesday 1st December immediately after the accident for life-saving surgery. On Wednesday they performed extensive surgery to his leg, and he has further surgeries scheduled. As you can imagine, the injuries are significant and extensive that will require many months of rehab, tears and hard work.
If you know Thomo, you will know that he will work very hard to get better so he can get back on the greens to play the sport he loves and spend time with his grandchildren, family and partner.
As a self-employed greenkeeper, he will struggle to make ends meet during this recovery period, and the Modbury Bowling Club is reaching out to all of the clubs and people that know him to give him a hand getting through this challenging period.
