It would have been hard to go past a bowling club around Adelaide without seeing some MGA men’s country carnival action today.

With 111 sections of singles played across venues including Brighton, Marion, Trinity Gardens, Salisbury, Modbury, Playford, West Lakes, Salisbury and Happy Valley

B. Scott (Bute) continued his good form from the fours the day before by winning his section at Brighton, while N. Rogers (Riverton) also won his way through from the same venue.

Streaky Bay’s C. Edmunds topped his section at Marion, as did Mount Gambier’s B. Errock.

Always in the thick of the action at the country carnival, Kadina’s D. Bushell won his section at Trinity Gardens, as did Laura’s G. Smith.

Ardrossan’s D. Adcock topped section 34 at Salisbury, while S. Geater-Johnson (Arthurton) also claimed victory in section 78 at the same venue.

Parilla’s G. Dabinett was one of the top performers at Modbury, comfortably winning his section, while W. Collins (Waikerie) also topped his part of the draw.

The action at Playford was highlighted by D. Steinwedel (Kingscote) winning his section, while Robe’s P. Lynch also impressed in section 58.

M. Squire (McLaren Vale) won section 68 at West Lakes, while ETSA’s T. Brewster finished on top of section 70.

Berri’s A. Hill was too strong in section 89 at Happy Valley, while Gumeracha’s B. Mullins also overcame a tough section to progress.
