ANNOUNCED: Senior Women’s Team – National Championships
Bowls SA is today pleased to announce the Senior Women’s Team, which will be representing South Australia at the upcoming Nationals event.
To be held in Perth, WA from October 10-13, at the Osborne Park Bowling Club, the state will send a strong contingent of players for the Australian Senior Sides Championships.
Faye Anderson is stepping into the role as team manager, and with Sharon Cavanagh and Katie Gunning in the side for the first time, Anderson is happy with her selected squad.
“The Over 60s Women’s Team is a great group of bowlers who are up for the challenge, will put their heart and soul in to doing their best for themselves, the team, and the state, and will back each other to do this,” she said.
“We have made some changes and have a couple of new players to the group so looking forward to having them in the fold.
“Sharon Cavanagh is up from the Open side, a recruit in Kate Gunning is in, and Debbie Dennis is back after being out with an injury last year.
“We are looking forward to conditions being a little kinder than last year.”
