SA Super League

The SA Super League will be back to heat up the South Australia bowls scene with the competition set to launch again in February 2022.

The competition is unlike any other event on the Bowls SA calendar, with eight established state wide franchise teams formed, and each affiliated bowling club in South Australia being aligned with one of these teams to act as feeder clubs.

This serves the purpose of assisting country clubs or metropolitan clubs without a high grade pennant side, to retain their best available talent as the individual players can play in the best competition in the state, whilst being based out of their home club.

As of January 10, 2022, Bowls SA is implementing a mandatory requirement for anyone involved in the delivery and participation and spectating of all:
a. Association pennant competitions
b. Bowls SA events, including State Events and training courses.

Bowls SA considers this as the primary, highest and most effective safety control measure it can
implement in accordance with its obligations to ensure a healthy and safe environment in which to
play and enjoy the game, and to control known safety risks.
