Playford and West Lakes to host Prestige Medley
The Playford and West Lakes Bowling Clubs have been locked in to host the upcoming Prestige Medley.
The annual two-day competition, which is scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 9, and Sunday, April 10, will see the top women’s players from all 12 regions across the State compete at Playford, while the men’s event will take place at West Lakes.
Bowls SA thanks the City of Playford for its support with hosting the women’s event and Mayor Glenn Docherty said they are excited to be hosting such a significant event at a local club.
“The City of Playford is proud to see the Prestige Medley coming to Australia’s largest undercover lawn bowls facility, the Playford Bowling Club,” he said.
“Our vision for the club was to not only support local clubs with access to state-of-the-art facilities, but to provide a venue that could host premier tournaments and bring opportunities for elite competition to be held our city.
“We look forward to hosting visitors from across South Australia in the City of Playford and wish the best of luck to all players competing in April.”
Bowls SA would also like to thank the Playford and West Lakes Bowling Clubs and their committees for hosting what should be an exciting two days of bowls.
