Para Hills Bowling Club Opening of New Greens
Congratulations to Para Hills Bowling Club for their successful grant which resulted in the official opening of superb new artificial greens on Saturday 5 August.
Bowls SA CEO Lou McDermott and Manager Bowls Operations Isaac Trenorden were delighted to be in attendance along with VIP guests Katrine Hildyard MP, Michael Brown MP, Tony Zappia MP, Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM, City of Salisbury, Deputy Mayor Chad Buchanan JP, Councillor Peter Jensen JP – Hills Ward, Councillor Shiralee Reardon.
The opening ceremony was enjoyed by a large contingent of the Para Hills Bowling Club membership who were thrilled with the improvements to their Club. After the official ceremony a tournament was played with proceeds to be donated to Dementia Awareness Australia.
We hope this inspirational story will help encourage other clubs to keep on moving towards their goals of improvements to their club facilities. The team at Bowls SA send good wishes for the season ahead.
