Pairs and fours finals cap off MGA country carnival

The 2023 MGA Women’s Country Carnival came to a close today with a busy day of finals at the Marion Bowling Club.

The Riverland combination of J. Strauss (Waikerie)/J. Morley (Waikerie)/J. John (Monash)/J. Gartner (Barmera) claimed the fours title after defeating S. Cavanagh (Moonta)/J. Redshaw (Moonta)/H. Moulds (Moonta)/C. Poulton (Bordertown) by two shots in a hard-fought final.

The rink of M. Morrow (Barmera)/S. Redding (Yorketown)/P. Mansell (Robertstown)/J. Barnett (Monash) defeated the Snowtown team of V. Rowan/L. Welke/S. Kempster/S. Wilson by four shots to finish third.

The pairs decider saw K. Treloar (Berri)/C. Nicholls (Mount Barker) take on J. Kotz (Keith)/C. Greenslade (Riverton), with the latter coming away victorious by nine shots to clinch the trophy.

Berri’s C. Eichenberger/Y. Hollis managed to claim a spot on the podium with a nine-shot win over Ardrossan’s P. McCarthy/P. Coombe in the third-place playoff.
