New staff members appointed

Bowls SA is pleased to welcome its newest team members, Pania Rawlins and Isaac Trenorden

Pania commenced a 12 month contract as Relationship Program Officer earlier this week. Pania has over 15 years experience working and volunteering in sport and recreation in many areas, from the grassroots to peak industry bodies. Involvement at all levels from club, board, local government community programming, state sporting organization and peak industry bodies has provided Pania with a sound understanding of the obstacles faced, the roles of stakeholders and individuals at each level and a degree of decision making, planning and strategy development that is considerate of all.

As Relationship Program Officer Pania’s role is to provide direct assistance to all member clubs in the areas of business planning, governance, funding, programs, information technology and volunteer strategies, focusing specifically on Driving Women in Leadership program (DWIL) and decreasing the gender gap in membership numbers and Club boards. The position will ensure Pania has an opportunity to become well versed in all facets of Lawn Bowls including providing administration support to the Business Services Manager in Event and Competition management utilising and promoting specific programs, Officiating, Junior Development, website, database and reception duties.

Isaac is commencing as a Relationship Officer in a permanent part time capacity as of Monday 26th August. Isaac has a background in the Lawn Bowls circuit being an active member of the West Lakes Bowling Club and also a current member of the Men’s Development Squad. He is in his final semester of studying a Sport and Recreation Management degree at University and has a strong background in Customer service in his most recent role working at a Gym. As Relationship Officer, Isaac will form part of the Operations team and have a strong focus on maintaining the Coaching & Junior Development standards around the state whilst also providing assistance to clubs in the areas of administration, training, membership and facility development and event support.
