New South Australian State Women’s Coach – Beth Quinlan

Beth Quinlan has an extensive background in lawn bowls, as a former Australian Jackaroos representative and a former National Selector. Quinlan, a nine-time international representative and part of the Australian squad until February 2013, boasts a long list of achievements, including the 2007 Australian Open triples crown and a silver medal at the 8-Nations Test in Delhi in 2010.

A former State Representative for the Northern Territory from 1992 to 2001, she then moved on to represent New South Wales from 2003 to 2022 in both Open and Senior categories before earning a spot on the Australian team.

Currently competing as a South Australian Senior’s Representative from 2023 to 2024, Beth also boasts approximately 25 years of experience as a club coach.

Awarded the Over 60’s Women’s State Representative of the Year for the 2023-2024 season, during Beth’s first series as a South Australian, she skipped her rink which resulted in best performed female rink of the Over 60s competition along with Chris Thulborn, Anne Merritt and Lea Modra winning all seven encounters and finishing with +56 shot difference during the 2023 Nationals. 

Her coaching journey includes a decade at St Johns Park in Sydney, where she mentored new members and pennant sides. Following that, she spent five years at Everglades Country Club in NSW and another year at The Entrance Bowling Club in NSW focusing on coaching and coordinating bowls activities.

Beth is currently involved as a selector for Ascot Park Bowling Club Ladies’ Thursday Premier and Saturday Premier teams, showcasing her dedication to developing talent within the sport of lawn bowls.
