Mixed bag of results for Adrian and Jackie
Adelaide’s Adrian Green and Rosewater’s Jackie Field represented South Australia with pride at the Australian Champion of Champion singles event in Dandenong this week.
The competition was to crown the 2020 winners, with the event being postponed from last year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Adrian finished fourth out of eight competitors in the men’s event, winning three matches and losing three over the two days.
Jackie had a tougher campaign, winning one match and losing five to finish seventh in the women’s competition.
The men’s title was won by Trystan Smallacombe, of the Northern Territory, while Dawn Hayman, of New South Wales, claimed her second straight crown, to become the first ever woman to win the event multiple times.
