Meet our new Regional Bowls Manager: Daniel Cocks
The new Southern & Eastern SA Regional Bowls Manager (RBM) has worn a few different hats in his life. Coming from a background as a teacher, Daniel has worked for South Australian Cricket Associaton (SACA) as a Regional Manager. In this role, he serviced metropolitan and regional clubs, overseeing club development and coordinating grants. He has also worked for the Alcohol and Drug Association on drug and alcohol policies in sport.
A long-term cricketer, Daniel particularly enjoys mentoring young athletes through their development in sports. He loves working with clubs, and has made many lifelong friends from his involvement in sports; something he’d like to continue and encourage in clubs he oversees. He likes to help clubs discover their potential and become the best community asset they can be.
To Daniel, what makes someone a good RBM is the ability to be a good listener, and provide meaningful help as a key support person to the club.
