Laini ranks number one in Australia
A dominant State Event season has seen Adelaide’s Laini McGorman ranked as the top female in the country as of the latest rankings released by Bowls Australia.
Laini, who was recently crowned the 2021/22 Women’s State Event Player of the Year, stamped herself as the top female player in SA by winning both the Sports Centre State Singles and the Champion of Champions Singles events this season.
She also skippered the victorious State Fours winning rink at the start of the season and finished runner-up in the Champion of Champions Pairs event as well.
Meanwhile, Nathan Pedersen is the top ranked South Australian male at number eight.
