Inaugural Ugg Boot Bowls Day a winner
The Balaklava Bowling Club recently held an event, which saw competitors wearing a type of footwear suited perfectly to this time of year.
The club held its first ever Ugg Boots Bowls Day to raise money for charity last Sunday.
The chosen charity was the National Breast Cancer Foundation, as the club turned pink to raise funds in support of the important cause.
12 teams took part in the day, which saw each of them play two games of six-end triples.
Players were looked after by the weather, with the day played in great spirit.
A total of $1700 was raised through a trading table, silent auction and wine wall.
