Inaugural State Over 60’s Pairs Champions Crowned
The inaugural State Over 60s Pairs event was held over the past two days, with the first ever champions being crowned this evening at the Marion Bowling Club.
Wallaroo’s Kevin Robinson and Laura’s Garry Smith put together a strong display of bowls over the two days, before eventually defeating Semaphore’s Paul Bandick and Scott Deller by 11 shots in the final to claim the men’s title.
Hawthorn duo Anne Onto and Fiona McGregor overcame a talent-packed field, which included clubmate Wendy Clarke and Hahndorf’s Susan Hutchinson, who they defeated by two shots in the final to clinch the women’s title.
