Helen’s OAM honor
96-year-old Helen Sandow was recently honored for her contribution to the community by receiving a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).
Helen is a former member of the Peterborough Bowling Club and is now a member at Nuriootpa.
Since joining Nuriootpa, after moving to the area, Helen has won a number of premierships.
Helen was an inaugural member of Peterborough Probus and is now part of the Barossa District Ladies’ Probus Club where she is a past secretary.
Helen was also treasurer of Nuriootpa RSL Legacy Widows from 2007 until 2020.
