Future Stars Winter Tournament Recap
During the middle week of July and the second week of school holidays, 24 of the states juniors joined forces in a pairs and triples competition at Torrensville Bowling Club.
This newly created Bowls SA junior tournament concept is proposed to increase junior participation across the state with the help of Henselite. With junior participation across the state being rare, this concept creates the opportunity to play in a fun, friendly and junior oriented environment where they can make new friends and gain the skills, experience and confidence to play more pennant, state events and in the U18 State Championships.
During the two-day tournament, which we held for the convenience of the families in central Adelaide, the pairs and triples matches were tightly contested and highly joyful with sportsmanship underpinning each and every game throughout.
The partnership of Charlie Hicks and Jayden Green took out the pairs trophy with four wins while Cooper Hocking, Indi Vass and Cameron Jamison were victorious in the triples with three wins.
Bowls SA would like to say thank you to Henselite for providing trophies for the winners and Torrensville for the use of their magnificent venue, as well as all officials and volunteers for their dedication and time.
