Funding bonanza for bowling clubs across the state

Bowling clubs across South Australia are major beneficiaries of the State Government and Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing’s latest round of Infrastructure Projects grants.

13 clubs from all parts of the state have shared in $1,785,340 of funding to put towards various projects.

The biggest winner from the funding is the Modbury Bowling Club, which received $739,250 to put towards a new shade structure to be constructed over its two greens.

The Angaston Bowling Club also received $600,000 to put towards the completion of its new facilities.

The Eudunda Bowling Club will be able to install two new synthetic greens after receiving $190,000, while the Sturt Bowling Club will be able to upgrade its lighting as a result of receiving $31,950.

Other clubs to receive funding include Tranmere, Millicent, Koolunga, Kingscote, Kensington Gardens, Cleve, Blackwood, Birchmore and Booleroo.

Clubs looking to apply for grants are able to contact Bowls SA for a support letter, along with any other assistance needed to complete the process.
