Fiveaa State Night Owls Winners Crowned
After Regional Fiveaa Night Owls qualifying events were held at Ascot Park, Mallala, Victor Harbor, Salisbury, Murray Bridge and Semaphore on the 16th and 17th of March, Sunday 28th of March saw 28 Night Owls teams from across the state descend on Ascot Park Bowling club to battle it out for the title of the Fiveaa State Night Owls Champions.
Throughout the evening teams played 3 games of 5 ends to decide the champions, whilst also having opportunities throughout each round to win additional small prizes.
The evening concluded with an epic corner to corner competition on the two greens while the scores were being tallied.
The High Jackers were presented with an award for having the most amount of ends won with 12 ends out of 15 for the night. Arge’s Mob also received a prize for having the highest margin with +15 shots in a single game.
A hush then came over the players when the ladder was announced and the top three places were:
3rd Place: Blue Bloods, 5 points +16
2nd Place: Scotch on the Rocks, 6 points +16
1st Place: Gremlins, 6 points +16 (winning on countback)
