by Marketing on March 1, 2021

Bowls SA is pleased to launch the dates and venues for this year’s FIVEaa Night Owls regional and state finals, with a streamlined approach being taken to find the best Night Owls team in the state.

Time is of the essence to get your teams registered as the events are only a few weeks away, so we would appreciate your prompt action.

So how do the FIVEaa Night Owls regional and state finals work?

We ask our clubs to provide the information at your next Night Owls evening and register your most interested teams for your local regional event either via the online links below or by calling Bowls SA on 8234 7544.

Generally, each club can enter up to three teams in their local regional event, however if you have more teams interested than this, please just let us know as we may be able to accommodate more.

Each regional event will be first in, best dressed so don’t miss out on the opportunity to register the teams from your club, imagine the bragging rights when the best Night Owls team in the state comes from your club.

It is FREE to register your teams for the regional finals.

Each team will be provided a free BBQ on the night and participate in three games of five ends against teams from other clubs.

The night begins with a BBQ from 6:30pm with play to start at 7pm and concluding at around 9:30pm.

There are cash and beer prizes for the winners at each regional venue.

Please note that teams can have no more than one pennant player and that player must play second.

Please see below a schedule of all regional Night Owls finals events and links to register your teams:

Murray Bridge BC – 16 March

Salisbury BC – 16 March

Mallala BC – 16 March

Victor Harbor BC – 17 March

Semaphore BC – 17 March

The top few teams at each regional final venue will be invited to our state Night Owls finals to play for the ultimate bragging rights.

The state Night Owls finals will be played on Sunday, March 28, at the Ascot Park Bowling Club.

Again, registration of teams for the state finals will also be free and all teams will receive a free sausage sizzle as well as the opportunity to play for cash and beer prizes along with the state Night Owls trophy.

The night begins with a BBQ from 5:30pm, with play to start at 6pm and concluding at around 8:30pm.

Teams will again play three games of five ends in a round robin format.

As you can see, we have several fantastic opportunities coming up and would love your Night Owls teams registered in these events, what have you got to lose!
