Interschool Challenge – Primary Schools

Does your school have what it takes to be crowned the best school team within South Australia?

Competition Eligibility Criteria

• Must attend a South Australian Primary School (Grade 4- 6)
• Must be 9 years or older as of December 31, 2027

• Triples: 2 bowls per player
  • Teams to be mixed-gender where possible
• Maximum of one (1) ‘affiliated bowler’ per team
  • Exemption granted if they join during competition
• Sectionals
  • 4 ends per round
  • No tie-breaker required in sectional matches
• Finals Series
  • 6 ends per game (may increase or decrease based on time)
  • Extra end tie-breaker if scores are level

Competition Timeline – 2027

Term 4, 2026
Clubs to contact schools (or vice versa) to arrange hosting training sessions and suitable dates.

Term 1, 2027
Schools attend clubs for 3-4 weekly training sessions, then select teams for regional carnival.
