Double the grant provides double the renovations
There have been some highs and lows during the COVID 19 period at the Blackwood Bowling Club.
During this COVID time the Mitcham Council began renovations of the toilets in the Blackwood clubhouse bringing them up to a 2020 safe standard. The club are very thankful for the support from the Council.
In addition the Club gained a small grant from Nicolle Flint Community Support to embark on a shade and BBQ shelter. The club committed additional funding, extending the shelter to provide a great shaded outdoor area for Night Owlers, Social and Pennant bowlers. It will be available for community use and hopefully will attract a range of new members to the club. It will be fitted with furniture over the coming month.
Further investment in an EFTPOS facility and additional sanitising equipment will prepare the club for future hygiene requirements with the ongoing COVID restrictions.
