Congratulations to our very own Bowls SA Board Director Paul Zerella on becoming a newly-elected member of the Bowls Australia Board.

Paul was appointed to the new role on November 10, 2020, at Bowls Australia’s annual general meeting.

Paul has an impressive understanding of governance and legal requirements within the sporting environment and has been involved as a player and administrator of Adelaide High Old Scholars Cricket, Football and Bowls Clubs for 35 years, including holding roles as President and Treasurer.

In addition, Paul has been involved with Adelaide Bowling Club as a board member, and has been involved with the Forestville Basketball Club for over 10 years, including holding junior and senior coaching positions, as well as being a member of their Operations Committee for six years.

Paul has played Saturday pennant bowls for 15 years and also fits in a Wednesday game when time allows.

He has a strong understanding of the structure and management of pennant competitions and is fully conversant with the laws of Lawn Bowls.

Paul has a strong business background and is the Managing Director of Project Wine, a state of the art grape processing, winemaking and storage facility, specialising in bulk wine supply.

Paul joined the Bowls SA Board as Independent Director in April 2017 and was elected as a Director at the AGM on September 11, 2017.

Although Paul farewells the Bowls SA Board Director position, Paul will continue as a member on the Bowls SA Finance Audit committee.

Thank you Paul, for your contributions, time, and efforts through serving on the Bowls SA Board.
