Club Development Day a Hit with Metro Clubs

by BowlsSA6 on November 11, 2020

15 club officials from 11 clubs across Metro Adelaide attended a Club Development Workshop last Friday.

The Club Development Day at Club Holdfast last Friday, 6th November was a hit with the attendees from the 11 clubs that attended the day. A massive thank you needs to be extended to those that attended and to the wonderful volunteers at Club Holdfast that catered lunch for the day.

Club Development Days offer the opportunity for clubs to ask any questions they may have, learn about new programs or ideas for their clubs and to mingle with other clubs in their region to brainstorm ideas. In this workshop, plenty of discussion occurred between clubs on all sorts of topics such as policies, functions and sponsorship.

A major component of the Club Development Day is around the support that is offered by Bowls SA and Bowls Australia, and how this support can be accessed.

The Club Development Day covers a wide range of areas, including:
* Bowls Australia & Bowls SA Overview and Programs
* Junior Coaching/Development, including on green demonstration
* Governance & Grants
* Volunteer Management
* Sponsorship
* Diversification of Revenue & Facility Use
* Membership Recruitment & Retention
* Marketing & Social Media
