Bowls SA Announces Board Election Outcomes
Bowls SA is pleased to officially announce the result of Board elections, held during the 2024 Annual General Meeting on Monday 23 September, revealing both continuity and change in its Board of Directors.
In a move that reflects the confidence of the membership, Tim Dodds has been re-elected as a Board Director. His ongoing commitment and leadership are expected to be instrumental as Bowls SA navigates its future endeavours.
The organisation also welcomes Keith Seanard as a newly appointed Board Director. Keith’s fresh perspectives will match the Board’s approach to achieving the objectives within the strategic plan.
However, the election saw the departure of Isidoro Belluzzo. Issy who has served with distinction for the past six years. Despite his commendable contributions, Issy was not re-elected. CEO Lou McDermott expresses her deep gratitude for Issy’s dedicated service and the significant impression he has made during his tenure. Thank you, Issy, for your invaluable contributions to Bowls SA.
The Board extends its appreciation to all members who participated in the election process, emphasising that member engagement is vital to the organisation’s success.
Karen Gatto was re-elected unopposed for another two year term, which leaves one casual female director vacancy which will be appointed by the board.
As Bowls SA moves forward with the 2024/25 season, the Board and staff look forward to continuing our collaboration with the membership to achieve our goals and work together to further strengthen bowls in South Australia.
