Bowling Arm Device – Artificial Device Policy Update

Bowls Australia have recently announced the impending removal of the requirement to produce a Medical Certificate in order to obtain approval for use of a Bowling Arm as detailed in their announcement which can be found by clicking here.

 

Bowls SA will fall into line with Bowls Australia and effective 1 May 2019 will no longer require a Medical Certificate in order to approve use of Bowling Arms.

 

Associations may determine their own position on whether to administer an approval process for use of a Bowling Arm or not.

 

The following policies and forms have been updated to reflect this decision:

 

• Bowls Australia Artificial Devices Policy
• Bowling Arm Request form – this form will not be required after the 1st May 2019.
