Alexandrina Council Senior Supa Series a success
The 2021 Alexandrina Council Senior Supa Series wrapped up yesterday following a massive three days of bowls across the Fleurieu Peninsula.
The action kicked off at Strathalbyn on Monday, with the team of Steve Wright, Geoff Coultas, Doc Buttfield and Sue Coultas claiming victory.
Frank McAuliffe, Ron Hill, Bill Hughes and Bob Schultz finished second, while Grant Fisher, Alister Behenna, Rick Hilder and Harvey Jolly took the bronze.
The action then moved to Goolwa on Tuesday, with Wright, Coultas, Buttfield and Coultas once again coming away victorious.
Noel Kneebone, Joseph Conte, Neville Mansell and Tony Treloar took second place, while McAuliffe, Hill, Hughes and Schultz followed up their silver medal from day one, with a bronze on day two.
The third and final day was held at Port Elliot on Wednesday, with rounding out a dominant week by claiming victory for the third straight day.
The team of Sam Katsivas, Ray Howard, Audrey Parkin and Stephen Jones claimed second spot, while Allen Anderson, Barry Martin, Rod Lawson and Arnold Bogusz rounded out the top three.
Bowls SA would like to thank the Alexandrina Council for their support of the event, along with all three host clubs for their fantastic hospitality on each of the days.
It was a great opportunity to explore the wonderful Alexandrina Council region and utilise the fantastic facilities on offer.
