Alexandrina a Seniors Success

by admin on April 6, 2023

Just an hour south of the CBD and you’ll find yourself in the beautiful Alexandrina council area where sport flourishes and bowling clubs a plenty.

The Seniors Supa Series rolled into town this week, playing at Strathalbyn, Goolwa and Port Elliot over three days to see nine winning teams take home the chocolates in time for easter.

Strathalbyn, equipped with two brilliantly maintained grass greens provided 24 teams a glorious day out for day one. It saw two metro teams place for the day and the mixed (country and metro) team of Joe Conte (Lobethal), Noel Kneebone (Murray Bridge RSL), Neville Mansell (Lobethal) and Anthony Treloar (Ascot Park) conclude the day in First place.

We thank Strathalbyn, Goolwa and Port Elliot bowling clubs for their amazing hospitality and the Alexandrina council for their sponsorship.

We look forward to our next Senior Supa Series event in the Riverland.
