5 SA clubs successful in obtaining grant funds

Happy Valley Bowling Club, Clarence Gardens Bowling Club, Booleroo Centre Bowling Club, Mount Barker Bowling Club and Port Noarlunga Bowling Club have taken great initiative and all applied for the Volunteer Grant through Community grants.

The objectives of Volunteer Grants are to:

1.  help community organisations to support the efforts of Australia’s volunteers
2.  help community organisations to support the inclusion of vulnerable people through volunteering
3.  encourage, support and increase participation in volunteering.

Happy Valley Bowling Club are spending their funds on upgrading their IT system including new laptops and a wireless printer. The club would like to thank Amanda Rishworth Federal Member for Kingston for all the help that was given to the club during the application process and the support they received.

Clarence Gardens Bowling Club will be spending the money on equipment for on the greens and in the club room. This includes hedge trimmers, vacuum along with cleaning products.

Mount Barker Bowling Club have decided to buy new bowls for their club specifically for the use by the disabled group at their club, coaching sessions, school sessions and social groups

Port Noarlunga Bowling Club have chosen to use the grant funding on commercial grade wet and dry vacuum for the cleaner and IT technology for their 10 coaches to use for online training purpose, school sessions etc

Booleroo Centre Bowling Club will use the money for various upgrades to their club
