40:40:20 Policy and Bowls SA Targets
The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is committed to assisting organisations provide environments where the contribution of women is valued, respected and encouraged. A key focus of this commitment is to address the inequalities in participation, leadership and recognition of women in sport.
The 40:40:20 policy is one strategy set by ORSR for all state sport and recreation organisation boards to comprise a minimum of 40% women, 40% men and the remaining 20% being discretionary – click here
Bowls SA’s target is to achieve 40:40:20 in their boards and committees by 2020, and in member clubs by 2021.
The Driving Women in Leadership (DWIL) project is dedicated to meeting these targets.
