Point Structure Changes Announced for Bowls SA Annual Awards Night
Bowls SA has introduced several updates to its point structure ahead of this year’s Annual Awards Night, aimed at better recognising player performance across all levels.
The Under 18 Player of the Year category will now include national selection and representative performances, expanding the criteria beyond the U18 State Championships.
Changes have also been made to the State Event Player of the Year, with a revised weighting system to account for differences between Final 8 and Final 16 competitions.
In addition, the Champion of Champions has been removed from the State Event Player of the Year calculations and will now be recognised as a standalone award on the night.
The updates are designed to provide a more balanced and accurate reflection of player achievements.
