2024 Australian Para Championships Teams
After a successful 2023 campaign, the South Australian team are looking forward to stepping back onto the National stage at the 2024 Australian Para Nationals. The team will commence competition on October 9-12 at the Broadbeach Bowls Club.
Commonwealth Games medallist and the reigning 2023 Men’s B7/8 Singles champion, Chris Flavel, will headline the decorated team, whilst looking to go back-to-back.
Mike Emberton and Andrew Reed will be looking to earn themselves another gold medal after taking home the Men’s 14-point pairs at last years championships.
Falling short in the gold medal match to the Queensland pair was Vanessa Wildy and Cathy Vluggen. With a desire to do one better, they are a pair you don’t want to miss out on watching.
Teaming up once again, will be Flavel and Aaron Emonson after winning the recent 2024 South Australian Para Pairs Championships. In the championship game the pairs battled it out against Tom Gibbs, whom they will be joining forces with and is no stranger to the national stage.
One of the newest members to the squad, Simon Baker will make his debut at this year Nationals. Proving his spot on the team in a short period he will be looking to capitalise on the opportunity and come home with some silverware.
A full release, including team composition will be made public in September.
