2024-25 Future Stars Tournament 2 Champions
Twenty two under 18 bowlers took to the Playford ‘blues’ on Thursday October 3 and Twenty one on Friday October 4 for the Future Stars Pairs and Triples tournaments. All entries are entered as single entries where we allocate players based on ability seeing new players paired with experience and an overall balance of skills between each team.
Day one was pairs with 12 teams looking for a top three placing to collect a Modbury Pro Shop voucher. Four rounds played throughout the day which saw Torrensville’s Callum Butler and Wilmington’s Darcy Jones finish with three wins and +24 shots to finish third. First and Second place both finished with 4 wins where Owen’s Noah Renton and Hope Valley’s Callan Shepherd took claims to second with +30 shots. Notching up a 23-1 victory, Kapunda’s Noah Green and Ascot Parks Noah Phillips cashed in with +42 shots to claim first place.
Triples on day 2 saw similar final standings with two teams collecting four wins each. In third place with three wins and +4 was the forever steady and newly formed contingent of Aleriya Muir and Erin Eckermann from Toorak Burnside and Skye Wilson from Millicent. Second place, missing out on top spot by just one shot was Murray Bridge RSL’s Cooper Galbraith, Torrensville’s Callum Butler and Kapunda’s Jayden Green with +33 shots. Taking out first place with +34 shots was the combination of Owen’s Noah Renton, Modbury’s Elliot Webster-Brown and Hope Valley’s Callan Shepherd.
Two brilliant days of bowls comes to a conclusion uncovering multiple new faces, many laughs and plenty of friendships made.
