2023 Bowls SA Awards Winners Crowned

The 2023 Bowls SA Awards were held at the Morphettville Racecourse tonight, with a crowd of over 200 bowlers, sponsors and special guests in attendance.

The winners for each of the awards were as follows:

Volunteer of the Year:  Marilyn Gerlach – Hawthorn Bowling Club

Administrator of the Year:  Mark McKay – Glenelg Bowling Club

Official of the Year:  Rob McKeown – Payneham Bowling Club

Under 18 Boy’s Player of the Year:  Charlie Hicks – Grange Bowling Club

Under 18 Girl’s Player of the Year:  Evie Exton – Marion Bowling Club

Media Recognition Award: Graham Houston – Victor Harbor Bowling Club

Community Spirit Award:  Swan Reach Bowling Club 

Small Club of the Year: Sturt Bowling Club

Large Club of the Year: Somerton Bowling Club

Women’s MGA Country Carnival Player of the Year: Julie Gartner – Barmera Bowling Club

Men’s MGA Country Carnival Player of the Year: Jono Voigt – Angaston Bowling Club

Men’s State Event Player of the Year:  Craig Mills – Grange Bowling Club

Women’s State Event Player of the Year:  Laini McGorman – Adelaide Bowling Club

Men’s State Representative of the Year: Nathan Black – Grange Bowling Club

Women’s State Representative of the Year: Laini McGorman – Adelaide Bowling Club
