New Constitution Adopted
Our Special General Meeting was a resounding success on 25 July 2022!
To have Member clubs and Associations show such a strong interest in the governance of Bowls SA was great, as over 80 delegates registered for the meeting. The meeting was conducted via Zoom, with CEO Taryn Sexton tuning in from her holiday in Canada. The new constitution has been approved unanimously by all voting delegates who attended, and Bowls SA is excited to work together towards our shared vision for the future of lawn bowls in this state.
We appreciate the work of the Governance Committee for reviewing and drafting the constitution – Des Button (Chair), Rod Ettridge, Pia Bentick, Isidoro Belluzzo & Tim Dodds.
President Tim Dodds said of the meeting, “The enormous amount of work that goes into developing or amending constitutions needs to be acknowledged by the associations and the clubs. The fact that the constitution passed unanimously by all attending voting delegates, and with many more non-voting attending over Zoom, it is a credit to all involved and I would like to thank everyone for their time and patience during the meeting.”
